From birth, children grow up in media-rich digital environments and embrace new technologies faster than any generation before them. Whilst there are many studies 'available' contradicting the benefits of modern technologies within the Early Years Framework, none of these studies prove there worth when presented with up-to-date evidence that ICT at an early age does in fact have a very positive outcome. It is now mandatory that ICT is taught within the EYFS Framework in a sensible and positive way and I promote the use of ICT in all areas that I teach.
I understand that some parents do have concerns with ICT and the Internet particularly, and would welcome the opportunity to sit down with them and demonstrate how both myself and my husband ensure the children remain safe whilst using the technology.
Children in my care have access to Both Windows and MAC OS plus iPads and educational robots.
